From Walla Walla With Wine: A Table for Eight Tour Recap
From Bermuda to the vines…
I just returned from Walla Walla Valley, Washington, and let me tell you — this wasn’t just a wine tour. It was the beginning of something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.
Table for Eight’s very first official wine tour brought together a small group of curious, open-minded guests for four days of food, discovery, and connection in one of the most quietly brilliant wine regions in the U.S.

the wines that stole the show …
We visited some familiar favorites, reconnected with old friends, and made new ones — including one that completely blew me away: Alleromb. I’d never been there before, but meeting winemaker Aryn and his wife Edith felt like fate. Their hospitality, the winery energy, and every single wine on the flight… it had me nearly in tears. Yes, I bought one of everything. We will absolutely be back.

black elk house- a dinner to remember
We also had the pleasure of experiencing a private dinner and tasting at Black Elk House, hosted by the gracious Penny and Gene. Their home, set at nearly 3,000 feet elevation with stunning architecture and even better views, created the perfect backdrop for storytelling, sipping, and savoring.

what i bought home (besides wine)
Between visits to Mongata, Echolands, Kinhaven, Amavi Cellars, and Alleromb, I carefully selected wines to bring back to Bermuda — not just bottles, but stories. These are wines you can’t find here. And that’s exactly what Table for Eight is about.
I’m also thrilled to share that I discovered D’Olivo, a downtown Walla Walla shop specializing in artisan olive oils and balsamic vinegars — a shipment is already on the way to elevate my dishes at home and in future events.
what’s next for table for eight ?
I’ll be hosting a series of private wine-paired dinners featuring these wines — intimate, curated experiences where each pour is paired with a thoughtful course and a story from the tour.
Then? We’re headed back to Walla Walla this November for Grenache Fest Weekend.
